You need a website.
* I can help with that
It should be stratospherically fast
Because let’s face it, nobody has any patience any more. If your visitors have to wait around for page content to load, it won’t get read. In fact, you’ve probably scrolled past this bit by now and I’m writing it for nothing.

It should play by SEO and AEO rules
Your content will do the lion’s share of SEO work, but your website should be built with the proper foundations in place. Google and AI search should be able to find, recognise, and value what you’re putting out there.
Webflow (my website builder of choice) prioritises speed, structure, and accessibility.

It should reflect your brand and deliver your message
Your brand goes far deeper than just visuals. And because your website is often the most public expression of your brand, it should reflect the whole picture. How your site behaves, its personality, the tone of the content, the way people feel when they use it… all of these things contribute to brand perception.

It should delight and engage users
Whatever your core business, why not use your website to demonstrate some craft? Elevate what you’re trying to communicate with motion, colour, and give it some space to show off.
Thanks to Webflow’s native strengths, all this is possible whilst still winning top scores on Core Web Vitals.
Every website has a purpose
Yours will need to sell products, or feature blog posts, multiple languages, connect to a CRM, display social media posts, generate leads—the list goes on.

Sporadically asked questions
Who are you?
Fair question! I’m Ian, an Englishman in Andorra, and I’ve been designing and building websites for over twenty years, since the days of Internet Explorer 6 and the dawn of Web 2.0. Back then I used HTML, Flash, something called Adobe Coldfusion, and eventually found WordPress.
I spent a good many years as Senior Web Design Editor for Envato, and nowadays build Webflow websites for clients of all sizes (apart from “Amazon size”—I don’t have any of those clients yet).
What makes you different from other web designers?
It’s not uncommon for designers like me to lean on old-school design principles, combined with fast, modern development. No templates, no bloated code, all that good stuff.
But where I stand out (as boring as it may sound) is in customer service.
Many past clients have come to me after having poor experiences with other web designers—disagreements over what was built, disappointment in end results, sometimes incomplete projects. I put time and effort into making sure clients are supported and satisfied.
What platform will my website run on?
I build everything with Webflow, unless the client specifcially requires another platform (like online stores being built with Shopify or WooCommerce). Webflow is a modern, visual development platform known for speed, stability, and clean code. It’s powerful, secure, and very user-friendly on the CMS side. I love it.
How long does a website take to build?
Most projects take 2–6 weeks, depending on size and how quickly content is ready. We’ll discuss timescales during the pricing stage.
What the heck is AEO?
Ah, you noticed that. AEO (Answer Engine Optimisation) is about structuring your website so search engines and nowadays AI assistants, like ChatGPT, can understand and give answers from your content. It goes beyond SEO by focusing on clarity and organisation, plus there are some technical things we can do to websites already (like including an llms.txt file) but to be honest, nobody knows exactly what works yet.
